Im doing a fitness routine right now, and the only time i drink alcohol is once a week at a party maybe. Otherwise i try to avoid it.

      Aw man…

Its the age ancient question….whats better for your waistline..Beer or liquor..

In my case, I sip excellent tequila, not that cheap shit…But I like a few cold beers on the weekends…

I realize that any alcohol is detrimental…but am I better off with tequila or beer? Also, does alcohol affect muscle “gain” ?…I have read that alcohol makes muscle soreness and dehydration …Any advice is helpful !

    4. TheAtomicDon says:

Nope. Both are fantastic for your gut!

    5. orasis says:

      @Lonao

No. All Alcohol is terrible for you if you can live without it that’s the best option.

If you can’t – no more than one standard drink per day – 1 beer, or 1 shot of Vodka or one glass of wine.

But if you’re body building .. I’d keep it to maybe 1 a week tops.

      @ceeIoc

Anything carbonated is hard on your stomach and esophagus.

But anything alcoholic is terrible for your gut – it doesn’t really matter which one they are both filled with cancer causing toxins.

And yes, Alcohol is a Carcinogen.

    7. BodyPerformanceTV says:

      LOL! Excellent point!

    8. ceeIoc says:

If calories are equal…is beer necessarily worse for your gut than hard liquor?

    9. SteroidsR4Faggots says:

      Roids…

Watch my video for proof of Steve Turano admitting his on roids!

    10. Chaaarge says:

I’m not sure about that. vodka has a higher alcohol % so I reckon it has more calories per cl

    11. jwalsh8 says:

wouldnt that depend on the drink chaaarge? i mean surely beer will have more than say vodka?

    12. Chaaarge says:

quick note on how to count calories for alcohol. alcohol has 7 calories per gram

    13. brushfour says:

I believe that booze has other components to it that makes you stout. I used to tend bar, and watched a lot of people SIT for hours on end. The only time they’d go is if they had to go to the bathroom. The other thing about booze that affected me huge time, was the insulin spike and subsequent drop in blood glucose levels some time later. BAR TIME eating!!! If I drank, it was off for omlettes, hash browns, sour cream, muffins, and cookies afterwards. Never went hom drunk on an empty stomach.

    14. Lonao says:

i don’t drink beer but vodka, is it any better than beer?

    15. zombiekicker says:

i drink about 2500 calories of beer when i drink im stout belly muscle guy

    16. manchiald says:

Im nearly 21 and ive been 100 lbs since like 8th grade… =-/

but since iv’e started drinking beer everyday ive gained 20 lbs over about 8 months.

but i work out to keep it all sculpted…

My advice to you is to smoke hella weed and drink beer.

When you are drunk and high you’ll have the munchies times 3.

so youll eat alot plus the beer would b like those protein shakes adding extra calories and shit…

i know it sounds weird but it works.

    17. BrainRemovalD3vice says:

Its right. Smoke weed prior and during weight training will make you feel your contractions ripping harder. This makes it simpler to maintain excellent form.

Thank you for some real honest advice on drinking and weight training. I am tired of people harping about how you can’t be serious about your workouts if you have drinks here and there. Have you seen Scooby’s alcohol video? I guess to each his own, right? Thanks for posting!
